How would you like to work on an organic farm in Mexico for 5 – 7 hours per day and not get paid for it? Okay, maybe I asked the wrong person, but many people are doing just that and having a great experience.
The first step is to join the unique organization named WWOOF at their web site http://www.wwoofmexico.org/. The cost is just $20.00 for a year, and then you can find a farm from they 20 or so they have listed, ranging throughout Mexico from Jalisco to the Yucatan. They pay for your food and lodging, you pick up the cost of getting there and beer and tequila money.
According to their web site, WWOOF “promotes environmentally friendly farming and consumer habits by helping bridge the gap between consumers and environmentally-responsible farmers”.
Rural Mexico is the heart and soul of the country, and to see programs like this that encourage sustainable, healthy farming methods is very enocouraging. Take a look at their web site.

every food that we eat should come from Organic Farming. i really get scared about those toxins coming from chemical fertilizers and chemical pesticides. I only eat foods which are certified that they are organically grown
